Short Throw
The guy who had the car before me cut the shift lever in 1/2 rather than actually buyin a short throw, can this damage the transmission? I've been told that it will and them other people tell me it cant, so just tryin to find out

yeah, pretty silly to chop it off like that. you can pick up a maddog or used mopar sts fora pretty decent price. i have the mopar and am happy with it, but have heard great things about the maddog shifters. www.maddogsts.com

Ya i'm finding little odd things about my car that make me wonder what the guy was thinkin, i would have never have known either but i took the center console out to clean it and notice the Lever was cut @ an angle at the top

Nah it shouldn't damage anything. You can get a Mopar STS for around $120. I have one and Im happy with it. Easy to install and looks stock. I'd also reccommend booger bushing and you're gonna need a new shift ****. I got the chrome one from MPx which looks stock but nicer cuz its not plastic, but I have seen nicer ones out there too. Billet Customs had some nice ones but I don't know if they are still selling them.
