Spark Plug Wires
I just got my 05 last week. Now I am getting ready to install the OCC (GReddy) & STS. I hear that the stock plugs and wires are worth replacing. I just popped my hood and noticed that the wire set in there is Mopar. Are we saying that the Mopar wireset I have in my car is not good? I already have nks plugs ready to put in.
Its not that they aren't good. In the 2003s and early production 2004s the 4th spark plug wire wasn't routed the best, so the turbo burnt it up, hence causing a misfire in the 4th cylinder, which at low rpms when accelerating feels like driving over broomsticks. Not fun...
Its not that they aren't good persay, its just that your car would better enjoy some MSD 8.5mm, and some NGK Iridiums.

The MSD wires resist the heat of the turbo better and also supply more juice to the plugs resulting in a hotter spark....plus, they just LOOK better.....[sm=smiley36.gif]
With the exception of the turbocharger itself, your entire car is made up of Mopar parts as are all true Chrysler products. I believe your confusing Mopar parts, which are stock parts, with Mopar Performance parts, which are self explanatory.
