Default F U E L ! ! ! !

HaHa Now that I have everyone's attention, here's my question: If I use a 92 Octane rating gas instead of the recommended 91, will it affect my engine performance in any way, shape, or form? I know that if I use a lower Octane rated gas, it will diminish my boost levels, but nowhere in the manual does it say that a higher level is bad.

I asked the same thing when I got my car. We don't have 91 but we have 93 octane here which I use. You want to go higher never lower. So 92 is good. They confuse you in the manual becuase I believe they said a higher octane is not recommended. That doesn't make any sense.

Ahh yes! That is what I was thinking, but that insidious line from the manual was playing tricks with my head. Thanks for settin' me straight!

I've been using 93 octane Chevron ONLY since I bought my SRT-4 a year ago. No fuel issues at all......zero, nada.

as long as you don't get above about 107, which is medium octane race gas, then you will be fine. once you get above that you stand the chance of burning a valve...

I would not run it in there for daily driving, but at the track every weekend, it would be perfect ly fine to put straight 107 in it... once I left the track, I would be sure to fill up with premium and blend it, but it will work...

Isn't that stuff like $5 a gallon? I know it would be lots more than that in Germany....
