I agree, a very special car indeed! I live in Washington and the smart move would be to keep the truck and sell the neon, but I just can't do it. getting the truck ready for sale. Even beyond the car, the people I have met because of it have been awesome! The SRT community just kicks ***! Taking the skittle down to Portland International Raceway to hotlap around the road course for the second time. Last time I passed a Porsche 911 and he couldn't keep up afterwards. These cars are truly amzing underdogs. I think it is the rugged performance that will keep the car in my possession for a long time to come!

There's a stage 2 kit w/o local to me brand new in box for $650.... Other than that, my buddy has a toys bezel that he's tryin to sell....

Holy old DF ghosts Batman!

Welcome back Adam!

I dunno, I gots lots of favorite storys but one I like to remember was racing a ZRX from a stoplight into a left hand sweeper about an 1/8th mile from the light. Of course he killed me off the line and had me by maybe 5 to 8 car lengths going into the corner. Being a long time crotch rocket rider myself, I knew exactly how this was going to work out.He would have to slow for the curve......I didn't! Ahh ha ha ha! I railed around him on the outside lane and had a good lead and was pulling away now into 4th gear. As he came out of the curve behind me at maybe 4 car lengths back, he laid back into it hard but as the little stage 2 was right in the meat of it's power, he could only make up about 2 car lengths going well into the 120's and 130's and my 5th gear. He never did catch up until the next light about a mile down the road. When he did, he was giving the car a seriously befuddledlook over. I'm betting he told some of his biker buddies about this!

I've got a LOT of good kill stories, but thats one of my favs.

Damn right this car is special! What other 4 door economy car that is both practical, and economical can go 12 seconds in the quarter, withstand that abuse like its nothing, and for only 1500 dollars of mods and drive you to work everyday without so much as a hiccup? Aaaaand look good doing it? It has the soul of the old MOPAR corporation.

Mine has 40k on it now and is proof of that......

You will like the blackness, it is sooo bad assed. It fits this cars personality.

I inserted a pic of a ZRX for those who arent sure what they are....

Trying hard to find one...but...unfortunately the dealer re-traded me Yesterday, unfortunately and tried to eek another 9 grand on deposit...I had to walk...can't believe they actually even suggested putting 14,300 on a 16,800 purchase and still having a 235 dollar monthly payment(turns out the bank wanted a 5000$ fee on top of all that). HA!^$*%&^$,,,I was pretty peaved after he shook my hand and said bring me 5300 and proof of income and payoff on your nissan and its a deal - what a jerk. so they wanted me to pay 21800+ for a 05 srt-4. unreal - how do dealers sleep at night?

Anyone know of a good deal on a good srt-4 in good shape?

I'm back on the hunt and i'm paying cash this time...i have around 12k so far to put into one)

it sucked - but iim not giving up - deciding on one of a few road trips to buy a different srt-4 maybe with st.2 and then some already done for me like it was when i did it last time.,.,, have a few that i'll pay less for so if i do it , maybe the dealer did me a favor,,,,and I might be doing some tuning work for a garage because of a meeting with the owner to check out a wrx he was selling that went in another direction instead of the sale ; I impressed him somehow with my knowledge of turbos and how they work when he pointed out his project 300ztt--I thought mine was rudimentary, but it seemed to impress one garage owner and I might get paid to do something I really want to do...tune cars... heck - I would like to tune and trade cars on my own asap and grow it into a side business ...thanks Murray Dodge! things happen in strange ways. lol

sigh
