Default AGP Solid Engine Mounts, AGP EVM

Ok last night me and a friend changed my engine mounts and put a AGP EVM (External Vent Modification - for stock BOV) in and it took all about 40 min for the hole thing. We did use a lift which makes it allot easier then a jack. To get to the hard to reach screw on the BOV he went in from under the car and used a 1/4" drive x 24" extension with a 10 mm 1/4" drive short wiggle socket. To get to the other 2 bolts he used a ratchet wrench. He seemed to get it done real quick. I have not had a dry test run to see how it helped with the wheel hop as it was wet last night. Last night in the rain i had 0 wheel hop. It used to wheel hop in the water also so i take it as an improvement already. The car seems allot louder now since i put the EVM on like if i had an exhaust leak in the front of the car. I think its normal anybody else here this with the mopar BOV?

Funny you bring that leaking sound up. I have the mopar exhaust and only noticed the leaking sound after I installed it. After the BOV though I didn't notice it. Probably wasn't listing for it and installed the exhaust like a week later. I might have to pick up those engine mounts. I want some soon.

did you use cooper rtv or another sealant when you installed the plate? if not, then you do have a big leak, right from that plate. also, stage 0 cars are not calibrated for that type of plate, so it will go off all the time and sound like a leak. it's like a low hissing noise, you can hear it for a while after letting off the gas. stage 1 (or higher) will fix that.

I did use RTV on it and its not a hissing sound leak its like i can here the engine louder or something its hard to explain. Its a little like a rumble or exhust sound. Im going to get video of it with sound and see what you all think.

I like my AGP solid mounts too. I've had them for about a month now. It vibrates when the AC is running but other than that it's great. My wheel hop has drastically decreased.

I have a 98 neon with solid race front mount and solid bobble strut, I know its not an srt and is older, but roughly how much vibration do you get from your? I know in older cars things loosen up and vibrate more, but it seems aweful loud.

The louder engine/exhaust sounds are not from your AGP EVM, it's from your new motor mounts. The new solid mounts and even the mount inserts will transfer more of the engine/exhaust vibrations into and through the rest of the car making them sound louder inside the car. This is a very common effect and if you check out the other threads on the inserts you will see that it is a result of them and not a leaking BOV. You will also notice a little bit of jerky feel while driving with the A/C or defroster on, because of the A/C compressors clutch engaging and disengaging. It will also cause a noticeable power loss while they are on as well, so keep them turned off while racing.

It's not really loud and everything is fine without the A/C but when the A/C kicks you can really feel it. Outside of that I don't have any other noteable vibrations.

Yeah the motor mounts do make the car more noiser inside than before, a trade off, if you really want to. Like psi chick said the s0 is not the best for upgrades like the AGP EVM..i would buy a stage 1...and i saw a stage 2 w/toys for around $1150 advertised someplace, give it some time and the S3R prices will come down also. The leak your refreeing to is the mopar cat back.....check the connection behind the cat, and make sure it is tight. Had the same thing happen to mine, actually it popped off during a race, really loud then...so i copper atv it back on no problems with it leaking since, probaly a bugger to remove now but of well.
