Earlier today, i was on the highway and ihad to slow down to 45ish and didnt wana downshift into 4th, so i just floored it a little and around 3500 rpm's i hear this pop noise, and after the the car feels like it is laggin and can barely keep up with itself, but after lettin off the throttle it goes away. Any Ideas on what this could be due to?

 

sounds like it is misfiring. how long has it been since you changed your spark plugs and with what type of plugs.

 

i bought the car this past decemeber with 54,000 miles on it and i havent changed the plugs yet, im going to do them either this weekend or next.

 

Do not floor it at 45mph in 5th. With that said, do not floor it below 3k rpm. Downshifting is your friend, especially if you are rev matching.
