dcx will void your warranty regardless of what kit you go with. why you ask? because mopar is not the same as mopar performance. mopar performance is considered aftermarket, just like any other company. so get whatever kit you want, it doesn't make a difference from dcx's standpoint.....
Legally they cannot void your warranty no matter what mods you do, unless they can prove that your mods caused the failure, in which case your screwed. The only thing that they can void your warranty for is racing, if they see you racing your car then your screwed. Some dealerships claim to keep the warranty if you use the Mopar Performance parts, but watch out because it says in all the catalogs and in all the paperwork that comes with the parts that Mopar Performance parts have no warranty what so ever. We have had the warranty issue brought up hundreds of times on here, just go to the bottom of the SRT-4 forum page and enter the word "Warranty" in the box to do a search for them. You will find all the info on this there.
legally it's true that they can't void your warranty for anything, and legally it's the responsibility of the dealership to show that the parts caused the failure. but realistically the way it works is that the dealer (or dcx rep) says it's voided or restricted, and you have to prove otherwise. so much for protecting us....i see it happen all the time. around here, some dealers are going so far as to refuse to even look at cars that they consider "too modded" because they know that they are going to have to restrict the warranty. so rather than go through the headache, they just refuse to touch the car. i don't think that this is even legal, but that's what they're doing....
Guaranteed, they are gonna try their very best to screw you over and deny you any and all service claims. However, the law is on your side and you just need to go about it the right way. If you develope a problem have it checked out by one or more ASE certified mechanics and get their opinions in writing before taking it into the dealer for repairs, this way you have ammo to fire back at them when they start blaming your mods for the failure.
