i looking to try it out in the near future. any suggestions, tips, warnings, advice, coaching, or experiences (good or bad) would be very welcome.

 

looks fun, only on the tar tho, i wouldnt reccommend dirt tracks...dirt looks really fun, but dont use ur SRT

 

Don't mod your car, the competition if you do is fierce. In stock competition you will have a much better chance if you're starting out.

 

so are you telling me to buy another srt-4? i think most of the people who compete on the local track are mod'ed anyway. this is more for fun and check the potential of my whip, in a safe controlled environment.

 

i've gone as passanger in my buddy's wrx, he lost to a girl in a rabbit. but so did about 100 other people. an SRT won it's class in the Pikes Peak hill climb. so they can go on dirt, with the right setup If it's SCCA then Moding the car will matter., have fun.

 

Sounds like you're modded, so SCCA might be tough, But autoXing is a blast in general. You really learn to drive a car. Tips, In this car, I found that left foot braking can be an excellent technique for holding power through turns(note that a higher steering wheel position may be required due to the heights of the pedals).
