anyone have this shift knob?
My stock **** has come off twice. Once when I swapped in the Short throw, and once for cleaning at 35K. Shifting properly means not pulling UP. Adreniline is no excuse for lack of control. It's pretty, the Modern unit, but depending on where you are, the temps can kill you. Folks in FL have to cover it up, it gets hotter than hell, and folks up north need gloves.
Good shift ****. The extra weight improves shifter feel, and the 9 bolt attachment means it's real secure. It does pit easily since it is soft aluminum, but you can re-polish it.
I do agree with the above comments on two subjects.
A)If you are shifting properly, you don't pull up, so don't just replace it 'cause some bozos can't control themselves and blame the shift ****.
B)When it is freezing out - you need gloves to drive w/o freezing your hand off.
