Just wondering if anyone knows if this cai was a 3 inch system? I am looking to upgrade my K&N to a 3 inch cai, don't really think that the K&N is flowing all that great, I have cleaned the filter, but I think that the 2.5 tube is to restrictive.

The filter is not the problem with the K&N CAI, it's the elbow that connects to the turbo. It is way too weak and sucks shut at WOT. Just go squeeze it, especially when it's warm, and you will see what I'm talking about. As for PTP's intake, couldn't tell ya the size, I refuse to run his parts. However, the stock turbo doesn't really need 3inches because the inlet is not that big. A 2.5inch system will work just fine...

 

yeah, the typhoon is just fine, aside from the elbow. could always refit the elbow with a more solid piece instead of replacing the whole intake
