Default trans problems

So third gear has been grinding as of late at high rpms shifts and most downshifts into third after the car has been running for a while. I'm assuming its a synchro problem as that is what I read in another trans problem post. What i was wondering is if there is a cheaper altenative to the $900 set of oem synchros from the dealership. Also about how many miles can you expect to get on a clutch when you dont do holeshots/burnouts etc. I have a 2003 with 120k miles on it with the original clutch and it still seems to be working fine but if i get the synchros changed out should i do the clutch anyway since it will be all taken apart? Also I'm looking for a decent set of struts to meet or beat the stock ones for anything less than the dealership price of $400 for the set of 4

120k on the clutch you might as well put a new one on there. your synchros lasted that long, i guess your doing ok. do much racing in the car (especially WOT shifting)?

there are some upgraded components you can get for the tranny if you want (cyro treated) but they're going to be more expensive. just get the ones from the dealer, they're actually not that expensive.

if you're looking to save money on parts just get oem stuff. mopar's prices actually are pretty good considering, so just get that.
