Looking for Srt possibly
I'm not really one to talk against this, but I will anyway. The SRT-4 is not for those with little to no experience with high powered cars, mainly high powered FWD's. These things are little beasties that demand your full attention and have injured and killed those that didn't. This is a far more serious matter if you live where it snows, the stock tires will easily get you in an accident in even the slightest amounts of snow or ice. If you get one be extremely careful and DO NOT hot rod it, learn the car step by step and gradually push it farther only after you are very comfortable with it at lower levels.
I started out getting my license at 18 and my Roadrunner is my first car, but I took it easy and didn't have to worry about peer pressure to show off or prove something with it. So as long as you take it easy and learn the car without distractions, you will be fine.

There is no way you want to get the srt-4 at age 16. I just ran a quote through progressive direct for a 16 year old driver in CT with a 2004 SRT-4, heres the results, keep in mind this is a 6 month policy, so double it for a yearly rate.
You better have some rich parents, LOL. Sorry to break the bad news.

ok...any "real" parent wouldn't let their 16 yr old child get a car like this. I don't care if you drove go karts or what....this car can and will get away from you in a hurry. I'm 35 yrs old (ouch) and I have to give this car my full attention everytime I drive it.
Unless your parents want someone knocking on your door at 2 am telling them that you wrapped the car around a tree....don't even think about it until you get more time on the road, with other cars.

I let my 17yo son drive my SRT-4 occasionally, because I've beaten driver responsibility into his head for the past two years, and he drives my fairly heavily modded Neon responsibly. But his main reaction to the SRT is, "Dad, that car is SCARY". Because if you don't know the car and respect its potential, you can be in over your head literally before you know what's happening.
I'm not saying that no 16yo can handle it, but the powerful torque and acceleration are very difficult to resist at times -- and if you're the least bit show-offy or think street racing is cool or that it's fun to wind out the gears on public roads, you quite possibly will get in over your head and maybe kill yourself and/or someone else.
Just something to think about. Good luck in whatever you decide.

Hey everybody thanks for the advice. I know the power the car has and what it is capable of. I love just the overall feel of either driving it or even just sitting in it. One of my buddies has the car and is running about 300 hp so that was my first experience with the car. Also my other really good buddie's uncle is a test driver for Chrysler. He is taking me out racing in May with a Stage 3. Anyway I'm getting off subject. I have checked out the insurance prices. Fortunately for me my mother is kind enough to put it in her name. My insurance won't be too much more than what I am driving now. If anyone can help me out with anyone they know selling or thinking of selling around July please let me know. Thanks.

The only one I know of is a brand new one at the same dealership that I bought mine and it's black like mine as well. Good luck and be extremely careful and aware, remember to learn it slowly and give it all 100% of your attention while driving it, especially if you in the snow or wet weather or driving it very spiritedly.
if you do indeed decide to get the car than the besta dvice i can give is the same advie a cop gave me a month after i first got my license driving around in my 91 civic hatch with work done, "it's cool to have a fast car, just don't be an *******"
Very true, I second that one. Too many get cars with even a little power and they go out and think they have to prove something. It's these people that give everyone with a performance car a bad name.
