You might try giving BadStratRT a PM or email. He may be able to help you find a good price on some snowtires for the SRT-4. Good taking to you.

I live in Pittsburgh and I just got michelin alpines put on before the last snow. And they seemed to work pretty good.

I think anyone would agree that the stock tires are useless in snow. I use inexpensive 15 inch steel wheels with studded "goodyear ultragrip" snow tires. I paid $700.00 for everything. Spacers weren't necessary.

I'm surprised at the number of people who claim that the SRT-4 is no good in snow. I drive my SRT-4 to work every day, and we have had 168 centimeters of snowfall in the past two weeks (thats 5+ feet). I drove home several days ago with about 8 inches of fresh snow on the road. My only concern was pushing too much snow into the intercooler and damaging it. I know that sounds like alot, but it was light snow. I don't think any two wheel drive vehicle would go very far in 8 inches of wet heavy snow. My srt-4 is as good in the snow as any other two wheel drive vehicle that I have ever driven.

I plan on putting a trailer hitch on it so I can pull my snowmobile.

That's exactly what I keep trying to emphasize, it's the tires that make it horrible in the snow and not the car itself.

A couple weeks ago I bought a set of Dunlop SP Winter Sport M2's. They work like champs. We haven't had too much snow since I bought them, but I can actually get in my driveway now. On the stock BFG's, I didn't touch the go pedal and still spun the tires all the way up the driveway. I got such a great deal on them that I just had them put on my stock rims. $400.00, installed out the door for 4 225/45/17's. Couldn't pass up a deal like that. For anyone interested in the metro detroit area, the guy there told me he had another set in that size. It's USA Tire in downtown Utica. Right across from the Utica Police department.

stay out of boost and you are fine with different tires. A good set of all seasons work fine in the Mid Atlantic

True, my '99 R/T did great in the snow with it's all seasons. However, they were still no good for trying to get going, but they were fine after your moving.
