Default Interior Question

I am doing a vinyl/suede interior on a neon srt4 for a customer, and am having trouble with the sun visors. They look like they should split apart, so they can be covered in suede, however I can't get them apart. you guys got any tips? thanks.

They really don't split apart. Some people have gotten them apart by sticking a long narrow flat head in towards the middle and prying upwards. But most people can't get them open.

Yup, this is what I found. It is a plastic shell that is ultra sonic welded together at the factory. I removed the factory fabric, only to find I can't recover it. It has the mirror in it also, and I don't want to break that. The only way to really cover them right is to split the case.

I'll try to see what I can figure out. If I find anything that works well I'll let you know.

thanks for the responce.

People have simply broken those welds apart, and then epoxied them back together after covering them. Others who have broken them apart use the flathead method and brute force to separate them.
