So i did the wastegate spring mod today and when i floored it in 2nd gear at about 40mph the tires spun, which they never have before and then the boost gauge pinned @ the end. Its a 20PSI gauge. What are the possible bad outcomes of this?

 

you blow your motor. which is highly likely if you keep doing that.

 

Ya it might be a cheap and easy mod but the risks arent worth it after thinking about the potential risks

 

just get a real wga and a wideband

agp is always a good one. and for the wideband i suggest innovate.

 

AGP makes a great WGA, though I've never personally owned one I've driven and worked on cars with them. I have the Stage 2 WGA, Greddy Profec B Spec II EBC and the AEM UEGO wideband. I love it....works wonders for me. As far as widebands go the Innovate LC-1 is an amazing piece and incredibly accurate, but the UEGO fell to me at less than half its price so I jumped on it.
