Default New Goodies Purchased!

I think I might have gotten sick, a rare disease that "normal" people don't have... I am pretty sure it's spread by being bitten by a small bug... something called the "Speed Bug"... I'm not sure... but to try and heal myself, I decided to purchase a few little goodies for my "whip" (hey, if X-zibit can call a car a whip, why can't I? ) anyway...

- Stage 2 with the turbo toys

- Mopar/Borla Exhaust

any input on the installation of these two items would be greatly appreciated, or suggestions on either... I looked over the installation instructions and they look simple enough, except the turbo toys part towards the end where you have to drill a very small hole by hand into some plastic... that part wasn't exactly clear... but we'll see when I get the parts in 3-12 weeks

You will need a mallet to adjust the hangers for the exhaust tips. Also the exhaust gets so hot that the metal expands causing the tips to stick out. You'll notice this after a few spirited runs. I will eventually have my exhaust welded together at the seams. The clamps are good but I did notice what sound like a leak around the seams. Maybe it was just me. Anyway I love the exhaust note now. I have stage 0. You won't be dissapointed.

Good purchases both. I have recently put on the two items you speak of and am very happy with not only the results, but the snag free install of both. The exhaust note is sick with s2 and the borla. You will be popping, burbling more forcefully and aggressively than before. Just take your time and follow the instructions that came with the s2 kit and it should all be smoothly installed 8 hours later.
Tips:
When you plumb the intercooler sprayer, it helps to soak the ends of the lines in hot water a while before you put them together to soften them up I did this and had no problem sliding them over the connecters. With the exhaust, leave everything loose, then tighten starting from the back and adjust as you go.

Good luck, and enjoy!

i don't have the stage 2 (yet) but I do have the Mopar/Borla exhausts and am very pleased with it-the throaty sound it gives is rediculous, as is the backfiring from downshifting. I hope that you enjoy it as much as I do

Good luck! I cannot say for the Stage 2w/toys since I don't have it yet, but the exhaust I do have. The hardest part for me was getting the old exhaust hangers out of the rubber, it was very easy once I used a wrench to go across the tip of the hanger then pulling the rubber part towards the wrench. The only other hard parts were getting the original pipe with the resonators out of the cat pipe and trying to get the new exhaust aligned properly, which I still need to do.[:@]
