Are you only having problems under hard acceleration? You could be experiencing spark blow out which is common with forced induction. I have used just about ever spark plug and I am sticking with Champion, I've never had a problem with them and they work great for me.

I realize I work for a Spark Plug company... but I would strongly suggest replacing the Champions. There is a quality issue (the Champion not having a high quality) here. I, of course, would reccomend the NGK's, but any plug with a heat range similar to the LZTR5AIX-13 would work.

RoadRunner... spark blow out? could you elaborate?

Normal driving is fine. Under partial or full throttle car putts and backfires. Tried adjusting the boost controller ordered NGKs. will install tomorrow. Hopefully problem is solved. If not could it be my boost setting?

It's a condition that occurs in forced induction where the spark plugs spark is literally blown out under WOT, high RPM's and/or high boost. This is one of the reasons to get good spark plugs and good plug wires. The stronger the spark the less likely this is to ever happen.

I guess I must be the only one that has had great luck with Champions.

My set boost is 25%
My gain is set at 23%
Set gain at 145 or in Kpa 1.00 (15 lbs)
Car is running at 15 psi consistently on low boost setting. Have not adjusted high boost setting yet. Just installed NGKs today. The car isn't backfiring anymore. Stock plugs were seriously carbon failed. Ordered MSD coil anyway because I have the wires. Should be in soon. I think I'm going to turn the low boost setting up to 16 psi.
