I was wondering if the drivers side inner tie rod of an srt4 is the same as a non srt4. I bent mine and I dont wanna replace the whole rack and pinion. I saw on the national forums that people were able to replace on the tie rod. I cant seem to find one and I cant post on the national forums to ask where the guys got them. Can anyone help me. thanks

 

i believe it is the same as on the 02-05 reg. neon... you can go to any junk yard and find them

 

how sure are you that it is the same as a second gen?

 

well id say im maybe 80%sure.. i think the whole rank and pinion and everything are the same

 

I think they bolt up the same but the srt4 I know has a differnt gear ratio....

 

all the neons/srt same turning radius except the old r/t neons there better turning radius cuz i know some people who took the rack n pinion out of older neon r/t n put it in srt-4

 

The racks are not the same; they have different part numbers. Since I don't think the dealer sells separate inner tie rods (they come as part of the rack and don't appear to have their own part numbers), you'll need to check with other OEM retailers like Autozone, Advanced, Rockauto.com, etc., to see if their part numbers for the inner tie rods match.
