I was wondering if anyone here has tried removing their powersteering pump. I recently removed my ps belt and noticed an increase in power. Need to know if this causes a problem aside from heavy steering. I figure people are removing their balance shafts for 9hp and dealing with vibrations so this should provide about same hp gains and roughly equal prob to deal with? Anyone know if steering actually gets lighter when u remove entire ps assembly? Any info would be greatly appreciated

 

Geez people, don't everyone jump in at once. I'm overwhelmed with all the helpful info. If this was a dumb idea than maybe someone should state that. Thought that's what the forums were for, to guide each other in the right direction.
