recomendations for sway bar and spring combination?
ORIGINAL: srtred
Yeah they are kinda thick, and the ride feels a little more rigid coupled with my DC strut bars, but still tolerable . A small price to pay for improved handling
I haven't taken it to the track, but I've taken it to a driver training facility a few times and opened her up... the car handled quite well, although torque steer was more noticeable. The HOTCHKISS bars seemed to improve the tires' contact and made it a huge blast through the road course!

Wow - 29 and 24mm - those are beefy. - I would be afraid they would do too much - the car is more jittery with a 26 and a 22 and I would expect it to get a bit uncomfortable on the street with even more - But nice setup anyway. Srtred - You take the car to the track? If so that setup must be a blast in the corners.

He is a good guy - and their prices are fair.
Curious, how much of a difference did the extruded intake and throttle body make? I was thinking about those.

I will definitely not knock Hotchkis sways.
But, there is an inexpensive option, here that performs fantastically as well for a quarter of the price.
I just installed a 26mm pt cruiser front sway, and a 22 mm acr rear sway. The two cost about 100$ shipped. A couple of vendors on here have them now. I can't say enough good things about these. My car handles and generally drives, like a different animal now. Thumbs WAY up.
Also, I recently installed the mopar rear tension strut kit, now that they are finally out. They were only 40$ and eliminate the problem we have with rear wheel hop under heavy braking. Definitely a good thing to do as well, especially if you drive hard, as they decided to start putting them on the '05's stock.
On springs, the only way to go, in my opinion, is Stage 3 coilovers and Camber plates. I have driven this setup on the track, and the car handles amazingly. You can also do springs and a set of struts(like tokico 5 way's) that are made to ride at lower heights; but you'll be spending 900$ installed for the set(at that point I would spend the extra on the coilovers).

where did you buy those sway bars?
wow, im pretty observant, haha thanks for that. is there like a website or catelog, or you just call and tell em what you want? one more thing, would they fit a 2000 neon?
www.performancespeedshop.com , i believe. - Others have it too - I had a good experience dealing with them. Ask James about the fit - I think they would though.
thanx post just ordered the rear bushings for brake stability and front and rear sway bars for under 160 bucks not bad at all. only thing that sucks is that i had to pay 70 bucks in shiping and handling but i guess thats the price you pay for living in hawaii.once again thanxs[sm=groupwave.gif]
