Here is the hood I've been wanting since day one for my SRT-4, it is made for every Neon except this one. It's the AAR Cuda style hood with functional NACA duct scoop, here are a few pics:

I'd like to see a hood kinda like the Ram SRT/10, or a hood like the competition coupe viper with the gills going horizontally across the hood.

I was going to get it for my '99 R/T, but I sold the R/T to get my SRT-4 before I got around to it. This hood is similar to the stock hood in that it just has the single centered scoop, but it is far larger and back farther which would cool the turbo far better. It also looks mean as hell when it's painted and on the car. The Viper hood design is OK and would keep the under hood temps down, but it would make one helluva mess everytime it rains, everything would get soaked with that design trashing the engine compartment and causing all kinds of future problems.

i agree with the hood being able to cool the turbo better... as far as the stock srt4 hood goes, i took the hood insert out and melted away the lip that pushed the air down instead of letting it get a straight through path. now the air has a more direct path through the hood.

Very nice - I like that one - If that were made in carbon I might consider it.

I did something very similar, I took my hood scoop insert out and used my rotary tool to cut that part out to allow more and better air flow back to the turbo.

I hope someone makes the hood I want regardless of wether it's steel, aluminum, plastic, fiberglass or carbon fiber, I want it. But I would prefer that it gets made with fiberglass so that it is both lightweight and cheap/affordable. Carbon fiber is great, but it is expensive and I would be painting it black anyway.
