I raced my first WRX today and smoked him from a 1st gear rolling start into 4th. Beat him by a car length however I did the old pull your shift **** off going to 4th. I tossed in my brothers lap, and he couldn't stop laughing. It was great!!!

Sounds like it was slightly modded. I have run stock WRX's (from a dig and a roll) and beat them pretty decisively. Glad to hear you won, though. I wonder what he was running.

 

It was an older one with the round headlights. It was pretty quick, but I also pulled the shift **** off. Posthondaremoval, don't you have a stag 2?

Seriously - my friend has an '03 wrx wagon. I raced him a number of times back when I was s0. Those are the ones I am speaking of. STI's are more in the competition range, now. I much prefer running boxters and bimmers and benzes..., though, now.

I was coming back from the Jersey shore today with my boy who has an '04 silver STi, when a silver WRX and a blue SRT-4 rolled up. I take it that it must have been cool to see considering we got as many stares as Micael Jackson did when he showed up to court in his PJ's, bt the real cool part was the rumbling from our exhausts (the two subarus had blitz exhasts, and I have the Mopar/Borla one -the blue SRT-4 was stock) and the BOVs.
