need some help... my car runs gr8 when first started, even for alittle while after that... for some odd reason it will spike on the temp gauge resulting in tight shifts, just overall running ****ty! dont know where to start...

 

your water temp spikes? then it shifts bad?

 

....i cant see shifting bad realting to the temp.....
temp: maybe thermostat, coolant level, head gasket, waterpump or somthing along those lines
Shift: clutch, bushings, forks, springs, blocking rings, or sychros maybe?.....
but im not a mechanic just trying to help a little
