Srt-4 vid

I did some photo-interp in the Air Force, and after watching the top of the screen over a dozen times, it looks like they may have been going down a slight incline (somewhere in the woods). They modified the car with a BOV, cause you can hear it when they shift gears. Also, if they were going to be doing 160 mph, they'd probably roll up the windows so the camera man wouldn't get tossed around...(it's a pretty steady picture for that speed)...the sound of the exhaust is more than I would expect from a stock unit, so I suspect they modified that as well...who knows what else they did. But it's STILL A COOL VIDEO!!!!!!![sm=smiley36.gif]
ORIGINAL: HEMI TT
that's fast, well what was really done to that cuz only 6000 RPMs @ 160mph, I haven't driven one but come on 6000 RPMs @ 160mph in a 4-cyl. just kind of seems unrealistic to me. If this is tru then I will have no problem getting one.

Gearing, it's all in the gearing.
The SRT-4 doesn't have any muffler, so I could see it being kinda loud at WOT at 160+ MPH.
I also want to know what mods it has besides the BOV, I also noticed that one as well and love the sound.[sm=smiley15.gif]
I posted the video here cuz I wanted the DF people to see it. I can't tell you if it is fake or not. Either way, The SRT-4 is very impressive, especially for a 20K car.

It's still a cool video, no matter how they made it! Gotta get one of them BOVs now, and maybe a video camera![sm=smiley36.gif]
Cool vid. Only problem with it i have is that if you look close you can see the boost needle on or around 13 or 15 psi which is stock if you look closer when they near redline the boost falls off , AKA stock PCM. Sounded like a HKS BOV, and APG CAI and the mopar borla exhaust as the stock system is not that loud inside the car at speed but the wind noise is which brings up another guestion, were is it?. It was almost deafning in mine. No dought they were going down hill. But what size tires? Did not look like a 160 to me maybe 120-130. When my car was bone stock 750 something miles on it i took it out to a long stright road(lots of those in south texas) and had a friend who was a deputy sheriff and owns an '03 srt-4 clock me at speed. I made three runs on two miles, one to get to speed and the second at top speed. I think 154 was it on all runs if i remember right and this was clocked with a radar gun(an nope i didn't go to jail)the speedo showed 155 so that was right on. It helt 15psi boost till around 5500 then fell back to 13psi to 12psi and red lined in 5th gear on the final run it banged the govenor twice but kept the 155mph speed. Since then i have buried the speedo. One thing i like about the "basket handle wing" is that it works, try a top end run with out it(yeah i'm stupid) the back end of the car was all over the road and actually lifted up! But with it on around 120 you can actually fell the car being pushed down, the steering tightens up and the rumble of the exhaust...gotta go do that again...laterz.
