Default Looking to get an SRT-4 have a few questions please anwer!!

hi guys im looking for an srt4. saw one i like and its an 05 and it has low miles. the guy put intake, turboback exhaust, bigger intercooler, catch can as mods. he also have the diablosport predator and loaded the 93 octane map for the car.

my questions are how much boost did the dsp 93 octane tune add? hes using a stock pcm with it(along with stock turbo, wga, injectors). and a like 2 minutes after he pushed it to full boost a cel of p1188 came on. he said it was overboost. and the car did spike 18psi when he was flooring it.

the dsp will not be included with the sale and he said if he loads the stock tune back on i wont have a problem with the cel p1188 because it will be running on stock boost again. is that true????? and if i have a stock stage0 pcm on the car with a turboback, and bigger intercooler, stock intake will those mods mess with the a/f's when i go into boost? like making the car run lean? i asked that because i used to have 2 wrx's and those stock ecu's cant take any mods at all... an aftermarket downpipe plus intake would make the subaru run lean. an ecu flash is required/best recommanded for the wrx's and sti's after adding those simple mods.

do dodge dealers sell staged mopar pcm's? i plan to order a mopar stage1 pcm after i get the car and i wont be adding anymore mods to it. but s1 wont be anytime soon though due to my insurance rates.

any help to my questions would be appreciated thank you!

Once the DSP tune is out, then you should be on stock boost, yes (as long as everything is stock....ala no boost controllers or the like). I'm curious as to why he is overboosting with the upgraded tune and stock wga....shouldn't be unless there is more to the story.

No, having those bolt on mods wont put you in danger of being lean. They will lean you out some, but not to a point that is unfavorable.

Generally no, the dealers do not have the Stage PCMs but they can flash them DESPITE WHAT THEY SAY. When you do order one though, (Modern Performance has them) they will ask for your VIN and mileage and stuff so when you get it, bolt and go.

If you go with a catless downpipe, then you will have a CEL for no cat as long as you are on S0. You can buy a nonfouler which mostly fixes the problem. Stage 1 is programmed to bypass the secondary 02 sensor so it does not need a cat converter and no CEL will show.

thank you for your responses! he said hes spiking 18psi and thats without a boost controller he only uses the dsp. so im assuming the 93 octane dsp tune turned up the boost and the stock pcm sees too much of it and threw the code. it will take a month after ordering the s1 pcm to arrive is that the general wait time from mopar?

also one more question the accesory belts are squeeking not sure if its the ac or the ps belt. is it easy to adjust the tensioner to make the belt tighter myself?

Sounds about right. Stage kits were originally quoted 4-6wks.

I wont say its the easiest thing in the world to do because its a cramped engine bay, but it isnt hard just to adjust that.
