how in the blue hell do you remove the stock shift ****?!

yea just pull up as hard as you can. carefull not to hit yourself in the face. i pulled mine of the first time by accident when shifting into second racing an m3. i threw it in the back seat and beat him anyway with just the rod.

 

you can put electrical tape over the teeth of vice grips and clamp the shift rod just under the ball and hit it up with a hammer.

 

where can i find short shifters?!

ebay always has some up. be careful cause you can get crap off ebay but you can also get good deals too.

 

I suggest the hurst short throw shifter. Not to short, and it has a screw on ball. No more ball in hand when racing.
