Factory Oil in SRT-4
I know Mobile 1 is the recommended oil for the SRT-4 and that it is also the factory oil for the Viper, but is it also the factory oil for the SRT-4? I've heard that it's best to use "Dino" oil for the break-in and have also heard that the factory puts in additives to the oil to help in the break-in period...

To keep your warranty good and happy go by the owners manual and by what they say. Newer car engines are built to tighter tolerances than they use to be, so they can use synthetics straight from the factory. Older car engines were built a little looser and needed the conventional oil to let the rings seat and everything to be happy. Myself I would probably run conventional oil for the first few thousand miles, then switch to full synthetic just in case. Your best bet is to do it by the book.[sm=smiley2.gif]
