Better than stage 3!?
It is indeed Andersons car. The article lists all of those mods as well as many more. I know the total of everything done to the car would have to easily exceed $5,000 a few times over, I'm guessing that they were probably going by the parts that produce the power only and not the parts needed to support or handle the power such as the drive axles, solid motor mounts, LSD, clutch, etc. I also figure that they would have to have seen proof of the power it's putting down before they go putting it into print to keep themselves from looking like complete clowns. Here is part of the article that supports this,"It's not just a lofty claim either, he's recorded many dyno passes to back it up on Turbochargers.com's AWD dyno."
If you want, later on when I get back on after work I can scan the article and post it or PM it to anyone that wants to see/read the whole thing. I've checked their website (modified.com) and it doesn't even mention this SE magazine or anything about it or I would have just linked it for everyone.

oh he most definetly put down 500 hp multiple times, the engine just wasn't very happy about it. it blew up on the track, i'm sure you've seen the video. then he rebuilt it, went to the dyno, did a 500hp run, and it blew up again on the way home. that's why he's put in 30k to it now so that it runs correctly, which it most definetly does.
see that's the problem wtih these articles. they just say "hey, this kid build a 500hp srt with 5k, so you can too!" meanwhile they don't talk about what it really took to get to that level, and what the end result was (two blown motors and now a fully built one).

i think ill stick with the stg3 and have a reliable 330 hp thankyou very much with my setup know its kinda scary in trafic the way you can come up on people i cant imagine what it will be with the stg3 on.

then i guess having a stage 2 or 3 on your car is usless. cuz that all you do with it. spin the tires. and if you have a turbo upgrade im pretty sure your taking it to the track and have slicks. thats just be tho.
