On this one forum I was on they were calling the srt4 a neon on steriods or a upgraded neon. I know its a neon but still in a league of its own.I love the srt4s. What do you all think. They are also calling them riced out.

and as for the ricer part...thats a matter of opinion...

 

They suck..hehe j/k..I love mine..whos cares what people think. People talk **** about all different cars on forums while they have the car they are talkin **** about as a wallpaper on their computer. To each his/her own!

 

it is a neon, and anyone who doesn't realize that is in denial.

to be honest, i've seen and heard just about every insult that you can imagine about the srt-4. why do other car owners insult it and make fun of srt owners? because they're jealous, plain and simple. the only ones that have any reason to think that they're better are evo and sti owners, and the evo is debatable (i'm not impressed by it at all for a 30k price tag). but even with either of those cars, for less combined money than they spent for their car stock, an srt-4 can kick their ***, and not break in the process.

it's not a big deal really, who cares. everyone hates the srt-4, we get used to it.

 

pretty much a buddy of mine bought a STI round the same time i bought my srt-4 and i considered the sti but i didnt want the payments. and after a year he still doesnt have any money to mod it yet while i beat his A$$ on a daily basis with my mods from the money i saved not making the payment on a 30k car. its all how you look at it. ethier way EVO/STI/SRT-4 are all just upgraded ecno boxs. srt-4 just happend to be the best value. and has yet to break(evos) and you think our spoilers are big? GAWD the sti spoiler is HUGE thats all you see. you wont even know what car it is and you see a giant spolier like the Escudo from GT3 i know its a "ralley inspired car" but damn.

 

Its a domestic. How is it rice? People seriously overuse that term.

I love my SRT-4. I love the looks, the compliments, the questions. At work at least 4 times a day I have someone coming in asking about my Lucius. I don't care if its still a "neon". I liked neons when they first came out. I've always been a diehard Dodge fan, and I probably always will be. Never let what someone else thinks or says about your car bother you. After all who's making the payments? Not them thats for damn sure.

 

ya its a neon...i took that into consideration before i bought it but im fine with it now...its a great car overall.

 

I love my SRT-4, it's the second best and fastest car I've owned/own. Jealousy is the main reason for the negative remarks about the SRT-4. If you notice people from other forums will come here to flame the SRT-4's to try and make themselves feel better about what they have, but you don't see people with SRT-4's on other forums flaming other makes and models.

The term "rice" refers to Asian built cars, mainly Japanese built cars. The term "ricer" refers to someone who trys to make their car look fast without it being fast. The ones calling the SRT-4 riced out are simply jealous retards, everything that they could point out as being "ricer"-like is 100% functional and therefore necessary. The wheels, tires, body work/ground effects, hood scoop and spoiler are all functional, thus making the rice/ricer term completely wrong. Some call the big scoop on the hood of the STi as being ricer, but it is completely functional and has purpose to it, so the ricer term is completely wrong. But a similar type of hood scoop on a Civic or an MR2 is completely ricer and has no function or purpose what so ever, other than to make it look faster or more powerful which is the definition of a ricer.

 

Thankyou for clearing that up...its always a disgrace to America when someone tries to rice their American made car up. A guy on woodward pulled up to my cousin and in a '69 Camaro SS (not stock) and started revving... I was like give me a break.

 

Yup thats just what rice is. And yeah they're jealous. But let them be. Who cares anyhow
