Okay, I went to the Dodge dealer to look at the Dodge Magnum for my wife. Wasn't looking to buy anything for a while. Then I see the SRT-4 and I drive it. Wlee long story short, I bought it for me. It has to be one of the funnest cars I have ever driven.

My question is this, what kind of oil do you use for the first oil change? Synthetic, Semi-Synthetic or regular. Thanks for your help.

 

Full synthetic Mobil 1. There is a lot of debate over what viscosity to use however. I use 10w 30.

 

Yep. If I remember right, the 03 and 04 cars said Mobil 1 in the owner's manual, but Dodge issued a 'correction' because they hadn't certified the emissions using that oil, so aren't allowed to officially recommend it.

 

Full synthetic it is, the manufacturer and I both highly recommend Mobil 1. You can use either 5W30 or 10W30 during this time of year.

 

Thanks for the info, Mobil 1 is a great oil and I shall use it. Another question. What is the best way to get out of the hole without laying too much rubber?

 

Rev it to 2000 rpm and feather the clutch out.
