Intercooler
well not always more power. some large intercoolers have a big drop in pressure so its going to make the turbo work harder. the harder its working the hotter it will get so the intake temps go up and even with that bigger intercooler the intake temps will be higher making less power. you can even create some turbo lag cause the turbo has to fill that large intercooler before it can pass through it. when looking for intercoolers look at the pressure drop across the intercooler (if they dont tell you then they dont want you to know not a good sign) and make sure it is bar and plate core with cast endtanks (the welded ones dont flow as well. what im going to do since i have a stock turbo, for now, is get a water sprayer and spray the stocker. it comes with the stage 2 w/toys and is a great way to cool down intake temps without increasing pressure drop. but to try and answer your question yes with a really nice well made intercooler you can see an increase in horsepower, maby 10-15hp max, but for the cost you can get more power else where. if you have a big turbo then a big intercooler is a must but on a stocker the stock intercooler works great.
