As far as current production sport compacts and excluding the SRT-4 (which is my obvious pick) would be the STi no contest. The R32 does fairly well for what it is, but I'd walk before having a VW.[:'(]

the R32 is REDICULOUSLY overpriced, for just about the same place you can get a much faster AWD car like an STi or EVO, plus its a VW, so you know it is guaranteed to have electrical problems...

There's no SRT-4 on that list, but a Chevy Cobalt. I've got to vote for that amazing car, the SRT-4. The Chevy can't touch it so I voted other.

Mini Cooper S, with the optional supercharger, large front foglamps, and stripes, in blue with a white roof/stripes. 6 speed. What I would give to drive a little toy like that with the horsepower of an SRT-4 and the weight of a Miata. Obviously if the SRT was up there I would've chosen it....but hence...I can live with the Cooper

I'm merely choosing the Mini Cooper S out of the options available up there...not a fan of the other cars. But if I had to choose out of any vehicle worldwide....it would be the Lotus Elise and the Dodge Viper SRT-10 hands down.

How does it compete with the SRT? Do you mean if you were to line them both up and race?? Or do you mean how can I compare the two the way I did?

For production cars i steer away from american cars becuase they all seem the same. V8 or I4 supercharged. And the body designs are too big and bulky.
Japanese Imorts are the way to go, Evo's, Wrx's, Skyline's, Fairlady Z's, The new stuff like that is what u want.
And stay clear from Honda's, i hate the brag about low displacement, high hp because of compression ratio and v tech. they ahve no freakin torque and thats why they need v tech or else they would be crap. And the american detuned Acura's and honda's and way inferior to the Japanese Type R. Type S is nothing compared to Japanes Type R.
And go mazda All the way Rotary Power all the way.
