I just got my latest demo vehicle for work....an 05 Magnum RT. This car is one bad *** wagon! The Hemi in this car sounds so incredible. I know the SRT4 will beat it in a race, but this thing is so effortless, just punch it and it rips. The styling is love or hate it. If you dont like it, think of it this way;
"It looks like its gonna jump out of its skin". A customer said that to me and it totally changed the way I look at the car. People on the roads stare and thumbs up at it. Men seem to love it, women are luke warm to it.

I have one complaint with it....the stability control. I feel like a corperate lawyer is sitting next to me! Even if you turn it off, it still intervenes with silly crazy driving. I must say, I miss power induced oversteer. If u get a chance to drive one, don't pass it up!!!!!!! And, the 6.1 SRT-8 will be out this year.....thats going to eat up some SRT4's for sure. I figuire as long as I loose to another Dodge, I'm not going to bruise my ego too much.

If your in RI, and you see dealer plate 32Z........it me. LETS RACE!

 

So your telling me that an R/T Magnum w/ the hemi will lose to an SRT? If so that is pretty sweet I always thought that the Hemi Magnum was faster.

That is correct. I believe Car and Driver clocked the Magnum 0-60 in 6.1, and a 14.0 quarter mile. The SRT4 was 0-60 in 5.3, and a 13.9 quarter mile. The difference is in the Magnum, you just punch it and go. In the SRT, you had better get a good launch, or you'll have trouble catching the "WIcked Wagon". The SRT-8 that is coming soon, with the 6.1 425hp Hemi is a different story.

 

i've always wanted to race one... ive tryed quite a few times and never get a go.

 

I'd love to put mine against it. Nobody around here (that I know) can drive an SRT4 properly. My buddy who has a 2002 SS Camaro thinks my car is slow. He just can't drive it. We switched seats, and after a minute of me driving, he says "Better slow down, thats a bad road". READ: He was scared!

AND, he is still making excuses about racing me.

 

Yep, the SRT-4 is Dodge's second fastest car right behind the Viper, at least until they bring out the SRT-8.

I can drive properly, but when you say properly I'm sure you mean properly in terms of racing, launching, WOT shifting, and the like. Ill drive the magnum, you take my SRT-4, cause it would be a better stock for stock race than your SRT vs the Magnum since you have S1. Or I can TRY to race you lol ....*sigh* In which case the Magnum would win...[]
