the dsp tuner was desinged to work with the stock wastegate that has a 4 pound spring in it. the FM wastegate you have has a 7 pound spring so the tuner is trying to run the max booost it can but since the wga opens 3 pounds later than the tuner thinks it will then you are running 3 more pounds of boost then you are supposed to be. if you have the stock wastegate then put that on and you will be happy. dsp+stock wga bettter than FM wga. and also when you say msd do you mean a msd coil pack or msd wires? if its the coil they are known to take a crap and you will only notice it at the higher rpms. get a stock one or granatelli just incase cause if the msd coil hasnt failed yet it will soon. hope this helps

yes this helps out. i do not have the stock wast gate. so if i just turn down the boost useing the FM wast gate that should fixs it right??? and yesterday i was reading that the msd coil pack was not a good option with the DSP. i have both the coil pack and the wires on it. it came with the car when i got it. i do not have the stock one. but why is the MSD an bad thing for the srt4?? ALSO could i have spark plug blow out do to the DSP??? i have ngk colder spark plugs in it fairly new. i dont know what the gap on them are but would it b possiable for them to have a blow out do to the DSP?? thank you for your help

ok well first yes turn down the wastegate as far as possible. you want it to have no preload. the msd coil is just not a good idea for these cars. i have no idea what it is about these msd coils for the srt but alot of them fail, a few people have had no problems with them, but the majority of people have had them fail and then go back to stock. the stock coil is good to 1000hp so i trust it. now for the plugs did you just put them in without gapping them? if you did then yes you are getting blowout. i did the same thing the first time i got some iridium plugs too its ok. they come with a .050 gap and you need to bring it down to around .035 then your car should be runnig great. start with the spark plug gap and turning down the wastegate first then if you still need replace the coil. good luck

i set the spark plug gaps to .036 and i turn the wast gate down to where it is boosting about 12psi. its running fine now but i just dont feel like the car has much power like it did before im goin to leave the MSD on it for now i dont have money to buy another coil pack. im goin to slowly up the boost to around 15-17 and it should b fine thanks for you help mxrnick
