Default Back to the old horn question.

Well, I had to use it in traffic again, and as many of you have experienced, I am sick of the wimpy "meep". Any suggestions on what to use - I want to sound loud and proud.

I have heard of the fiamm dual airhorn setup and like the idea, but don't want to lose functionality of my alarm chirp, and I understand that I would with airhorns.

I was thinking of ordering a replacement horn for a Dodge RAM 1500/2500. Does anyone know if it would fit?
I.E. Would the horn have the same wiring clip, and would it fit in the stock location?

'Preciate the input, everyone.

If you want a LOUD horn cheap, go to the bone yard and find a late 80's or 90's Volvo 240 series. The horns are right behind the front grill, and they blast!!!!

You could probably pick them up for five bucks or so. I had a Nissan with a wimpy horn, and I used this solution.

Think it would fit behind the foglight same as ours?

Actually it is a bracket with a high and a low horn on it. It is pretty compact, just grab the bracket with them. I'm sure your handy enough to make them fit.

They actually sound kind of like the old Road Runner beep beep horns too, but very loud.

My best friend is a trucker, driving 18 wheelers across the country. He wants me to put one of those horns in my car. Hahahaha... a little 2000 Neon with a huge horn. I'm like hell no, but I know if he decides to buy my car off me when I get an srt-4 he'd probably find a way to do it himself.

well on the street putting the cluch in and bringing the engine to 4-5k fast then droping it the type rs works good as a horn... and there is alot of room where or stock horn is... in the pic its to the left of the crash bar sticking out... so as long as the wires hook up i dont see y it wouldnt work.
