GReddy Catch Can Question
Finally got my oil catch can today and just as I had been told, the instructions are in Japanese...I went ahead and assembled the thing based on the pictures on the box with no problems EXCEPT FOR one "extra" piece that looks kinda like a 1 inch long bolt w/o the threads and it's chrome plated like the can itself. Where does this thing go? I've got extra pieces for the bracket, the hose, zip ties, but this one piece has me stumped...any ideas?

Yeah i have one two let me know if you need it and i will mail it to you...lol..Dude i never found that one out but i do know that it does not affect the operation of the catch can as mine works great. I do suggest that you check it every two weeks if you drive it everyday or once a month if you drive it less than daily it fills up fast, its my biggest problem with the srt-4 and you may want to pull the intercooler out and and flush it out with gasoline and reinstall it to get rid of the oil deposits that now reside in the intercooler, and i'm not joking here, Oh and besure to dispose of the used gas and oil mix in a matter of complinance with EPA, state and local regulations, don't throw it on an ant den and get fined like i did....

Naw, I think I'll let you keep your "bolt" as a reminder of your SRT-4 "experience".
Seriously dude, how hard do you drive your SRT-4 to get that much oil in the catch can?
I'm installing mine mostly as a safety measure for the engine, I've seen pix of other catch cans and they only had a few ounces of oil in them...but I don't know how long they had been installed....

Forgot to mention to dispose of your gas and oil during a "holiday time"...e.g., Fiesta Time in April here in San Antonio, or Mardi Gras in New Orleans, or during a winter storm up north...Cops, (of which I am one) are by nature, lazy and only respond quickly to "people" issues...[sm=smiley2.gif]
