Stock boost gauge trouble!
When I am driving and I let off the gas my boost gauge pins itself all the way to -30 and when I have full boost goes to 7 or 8. When I shut my car off, the boost gauge is at -10 and stays there. WHAT THE HELL IS GOING ON!!!?!?!??!?
boost gauge is done, you need a new one. the stock boost gauge has been known to become uncalibrated. you can either have it replaced under warranty or upgrade to a new, better one. autometer makes a replacement srt boost gauge that goes to 30psi and has peak boost warning and peak recall, it's a nice gauge. if you don't want to spend the money, then just have them replace it. you can't recalibrate the stock gauge.
I just called the dealer and told them there are going to have to replace the whole gauge, so he is ordering it now, so it will be in on monday for my service
I am finally going into the dealer on Wednesday to get my new boost gauge put in, the boost gauge def. lost calibration, when I supposed to have boost it is not reading anything positive. When there is supposed to be boost there a a vibration noise that is so damn annoying. If you notice your boost gauge acting funny (I.E. Reading vacuum when the car is shut off or reading 30 vacuum when you let off the gas) Take it to the dealer and get a new one under warranty. I will update after I get my car back.
