forward (rear cluch )failue. or governor pressure holding 2nd gear on. put tran in manual 1st and see what it's does. if manual shift fixes, governer is skicking causing the problem. if no change then it's rebuild time

first you are talking about a srt-4 right? if you are it sounds like time for a new clutch for you. if you have an sxt with an auto then i dont know autos are too complex for me.

on my first srt4 that i got new i had to replace the clutch at under 10k miles, but i used to drive the **** out of it. my current srt has 68k and its on the stock clutch still, im pretty sure, i got it used at like 50k and ive seen the clutch and i know its at least a stock one im just not 100% that its the original. so moral of the story is ever clutch wears out at different times. ive heard of people that have had 120k+ miles on their stock clutch and it be ok but most of those are usually highway miles mine at almost 70k is starting to go but i drive aggressivly. i would say its your clutch but im not a 100% on that so i suggest getting a professoinal to take a look and double check.
