It would seem they would be ok, I hear alot of people talking about changing these. How much benefit do you get by changing to like denso iridiums and new wires ?
Is there any noticeable difference in performance ?

I just hear alot about this. Also a Buster at work bought an 04 and said the only mod done to his before he bought it was change the wires

Just curious before I throw a C note down range.

Change the wires... as for the plugs... change the plugs too... the stock champions are yucky... denso or NGK's... (I prefer the 2nd for certain reasons)

benefits... better spark, not toasted plug wires, etc.

stock wires have between 3k-4k Omhs a foot. 8.5mm wires have about 100-150 ohms a foot.

and my stock plugs were replaced at 13k and they were toasted when i pulled them so id take them out before 10k.

The stock #4 plug wire runs over the turbo and BBQ's causing failure after a few thousand miles. The MSD Super Conductor plug wires have a 90 degree bend from the coil which keeps it away from the turbo as well as being more heat resistant. They also allow thousands of times better spark to the plugs, they are less than 50 ohms per foot of resistance and the longest wires on the SRT-4 are barely over half that length. So you will get tons more spark energy to the plugs and it will make it smoother running and more responsive as well as increasing fuel mileage.

Do the denso 9mm have a 90 degree angled boot like the MSD or only MSD, I am looking at getting the densos!

Thanks
Andrew

I, myself, have the MSD coil and 8.5mm wires with NGK Iridium gapped @ .040.
