Alright, here is the deal. I bought a Used SRT4. It brought a intake and BOV. Yesterday, me and my friend were messing with the BOV to see if we can make it louder when we noticed a huge air Leak. When i first bought it i was doing 11 psi. Once i fixed the Leak, i am at 15 psi. Now, what does this mean? Do i have a stage or what upgrade might i have? Also, i installed a Manual Boost controller. When i drive and try to do a 3rd gear roll, the engine seems to choke when it gets to 15. What could be happening? Please help. Thanks

 

15 psi is normal i think for the stock car. That is what my stock 05 runs at anyway. If its an 03 that u have it could be that since they dont have the larger fuel injectors like the 04 and 05 that the car cant supply the right amount of fuel to complimet the 15 psi of boost. Also maybe the computer stops it so it doesnt get an overboost code although im not sure at what point that is reached.

 

11-15psi is normal for a stock car, dependent upon elevation and temperatures. Also on the car itself, as we all know they aren't all the same.

 

You should hold boost around 10-12 stock i believe

 

as for stock psi it sounds like its ranging people say different things, well i just bought an 03 used and i have no idea if anything is done to it so all i know is my psi gauge ranges to different highs in different gears, most of the time 15 is that the high is but in 5th gear i get 17psi. i live in az where its wicked hot, so i can only guess i got an upgraded one, but im not sure just floor it see where the needle stops!!!!

 

Pop the hood and take a pic Jameshushek, then post it here and we can see what exactly is there, or not.
