Default Downpipe Install Question?

I have a Maxxfab 3" Downpipe on order. I have read a couple "Horror Story" posts regarding the top 12 o'clock bolt removal. Evidently the nut at the top is secured from turning ysome sort of a bracket? If that bracket breaks and allows the nut to turn a wrench will not fit up there requiring = chisel - welder - ? to get it off? Besides applying Liquid Wrench prior to removal is there any other tips on replacing a Downpipe? How common is that nut bracket breaking? Are the factory bolts installed super tight?
Thanks

i think you're talking about the o2 housing, not the dp. installing a dp is easy, i've never heard any horror stories about it. shouldn't take more than an hour to do, it's pretty much just a few bolts.

You should be fine, bob96. I did my maxxfabb on my back under the car in a driveway with no problems at all. Go through the top to get it lined back up and started on the re-install.

It is pretty easy. Wear glasses to keep the crap out of your eyes.
