PCM Install - Observations!
I installed my Stage1 PCM today. Thanks to Forum Members for several tips on this install. All bolts came out easily and the 3 connectors also. I had to loosen the PCM to the mount in order to wiggle it out. I noticed the problem area! The bolt that is the side mount on the right side is about 1/2" longer than it needs to be. This reduces the wiggle room to get the assembly in and out. I enlarged the upper mount hole by about 1/8" with my Dremel to give more wiggle room when I reinstalled the assembly. Went in after some efforts. If I had to do this again I would hacksaw 1/2" off the protruding bolt mount to gain this much space for removal and reinstalling the assembly. I just can't see the reason for the extra bolt length on this mount?
Took a liitle drive and car felt good. On Stage0 my boost topped at 15lbs. Now goes to 17lb and can feel the difference. Regular driving charactistics are the same. Maybe a little more snap - crackle - pop - on decel. but not much.

You mustve gotten a crackbaby PCM like I did, because I'm up around 16-17 now and I have absolutely nothing done (WGA, etc) that would create increased boost). Stage 1 rocks...I love it
Consider who's car it came from!!!!! LOL (ALTHOUGH I quit smoking crack last year
