Yep, thats for the built-in alarm.

I have a similar problem with mine, but mine is worse. I have what you are talking about, plus I have another problem with my front plate bracket. Whomever put my front plate bracket on f***ed it up by not drilling a pilot hole for the screw. On one of the 2 tabs that go into the grill opening the screw was put in too close to the front and it buldged out around the screw and split/splintered the area around it paint and all. I need to reset an appointment with the dealerships body shop to get it fixed as well as the top windshield trim which is loose.[sm=smiley7.gif]But, as long as they fix it it's OK with me.

I kept getting different answers to my questions about the alarm, so I bought one of the SRT-4 service manuals they sell on ebay for anywhere from $7-$12 bucks. Yes, that red light is for the alarm and you will have to use the key fob everytime you get into the car or the alarm will sound. It will go off after you start the car. Note that the built-in alarm does not protect against broken glass, so they can still get in your car and steal stuff out of it. An aftermarket alarm may be better if you live in high crime area...[sm=smiley24.gif][sm=smiley22.gif]

well i went today and got my windows timted it seems like it added like 20 extra horses and what they did was put some touch up paint on the front bumper it looks better but it is one of those things where i will always know where it is at i also got the alarm turned on andi can say that i really dont live in a high crime area but i tel u one thing if someone wants your car bad enough they will get it alarm or not. i used to owna honda civic hatchback with tv and air bags on it and ****, i tell u what i spent like 5 hun on this alarm and come to find out i kinda wasted my money sure it would page me if it went off but i had to be within a certin range, and then when i wasnt in that range i got a lil parranoid so honestly you can have a guard watching your car but if someone wants something bad enough they will get it

That's right, give 'em long enough and they can steal anything. I keep a 12 gauge riot shotgun and a Ruger Redhawk .44 mag handy, just in case....[sm=smiley23.gif]

Blow off plates wouldn't be that hard to make...you can get 'em on ebay for less than $10. A blow off VALVE is another story...I'd stick with the factory models (currently $55 for a "Buy It Now" on ebay). BTW I'm in San Antonio, at the SRT-4's top speed, about 1 and 1/4 hours away....[sm=smiley20.gif][sm=smiley36.gif][sm=smiley4.gif]

Well it's not me, But i was going to tell you but it sliped my mind. He has a yellow '03 and made his own BOV similliar to the Mopar BOV, don't know about the copyright legal stuff on it, But anyways he is well known at modern performance in houston, they can tell you.
