I have a 2005 dodge neon srt-4. only mods are short ram air intake with oil catch can. it does have the stage 1 injectors but not the pcm. it does throw the p1188 code from time to time and then it goes away by it self. but the other day i was going down the road and noticed that i am not hearing the BOV when i shift anymore. the only time i can hear it now if i go WOT and get up to about 10psi and release and then i can hear it but the sound is shorter in lenght than before. anybody had this problem before or give me a direction to look into???

1188 is just the TIP sensor performance, are you on pcm controlled boost? I know with some aftermarket bov they don't always blow off, or when they release the air is just barely opening but not makeing the full noise.

 

Tip sensor controls boost solenoid, so this could be your problem??
