What do ya'll think of these cars?
Why do you guys invest so much money in a neon? They are known as one of the biggest lemons on the road. They are by no means fast, even with upgrades. I'm not trying to insult anyone, I'm just saying, you could use that money on a better car or save it, cuz I guarentee you aint guna be turnin pretty ladies' heads with a neon.

Aside from the fact that it is a Neon body, they are really fun cars to drive and can be made fast. Like, 10 second 1/4's fast. Some are even in the 9's....Some of us (I used to own one) did not use these to pick woman up or as a social status symbol..I bought mine because it was cheap (used for 15,000), got 33 mpg highway and was pretty quick.
Some would say your truck is a waste of money. You lifted it and pay a lot for gas right?? Is that lift really needed for your everyday life? How other people spend their money shouldn't concern you.
I hope your joking...

I figured you weren't completely serious.
I bought mine, at 26, knowing full and well that I was buying a 17 year old kid's type of car. My friends would not let me live down the fact that I traded in a 2005 Ram 4x4 quad cab Hemi for it. But, I was driving 120 miles a day to see my fiance (now wife) and did not want to pay crazy amounts of money for gas. My wife hated that car more than anything I have ever owned and reminds me of it still, 3 years later.
But again, the fun I had in that thing for 33,000 miles. Stomp the gas, watch the boost gauge, and hold onto the wheel for the torque steer...

That's the thing I loved about owning a neon srt, they were very under estimated lol, I was hopeing you were joking which you were. I loved blowing the doors off V8 with my srt when I had it.

I just had to reply back to this post. Everytime I drive anywhere, I always see neons on the road, old school or 2nd generations, turbo or not. People still drive them cause they are still very reliable vehicles. And not to mention they have tons of parts at your local auto yards and cheap to drive and repair. If one knows how to work on them, they are fun and mod them anyway you like it. To this day, I run 2 neons, both 2nd generations, one turbo and the other is just stock. They are fun to drive and the turbo has been turning heads quite a few times. So before anyone says otherwise, do your math first and you'll know what I mean. Keep up the great posts, latrzzzzz!
