Greenhouse captures 2WD National podium finish at Susquehannock Trail

Chris Greenhouse and codriver Brian Johnson were back in action again at Susquehannock Trail Performance Rally in Wellsboro, Pennsylvania, USA. The team notched an impressive 3rd place in the 2WD National class in their very first outing in the new turbocharged Dodge Neon SRT4, and have risen to 4th place in the national championship points.

Friday's stages, sponsored by Waste Management, Inc., were an excellent start for Chris and the Dodge Neon SRT4, and the team returned to the first service in 3rd place in 2WD. They made no mistakes and stayed clear of the tire-shredding rocks that plagued other competitors. They even set an astonishing 9th overall fastest time on SS3, besting a large number of the all-wheel-drive entrants.

On Saturday the team ventured into the forest and ran the narrow, fast, technical stages that STPR is famous for. Chris and Brian stayed fast and clean, and the EBC Brakes Dodge Neon SRT4 never suffered so much as a hiccup throughout the day. The day ended with a pair of head-to-head passes of the Dirt Excavating Inc SuperSpecial against the Nissan Silvia of Ross and Scott Allan.

"We knew that this would not be an easy event since we had to get used to the new car," said Chris after the event. "This event is very fast, narrow and unforgiving, and there are a lot of opportunities for disaster here. We needed to log as many stage miles as possible and gain as much experience as possible. But we stayed clean and didn't put a scratch on the car all weekend, and our reward was a podium finish against some of the best 2WD competition that STPR has had in a long time."

Brian Johnson was quite pleased with the team's performance also. "Had a great time this weekend...All in all, we couldn't be happier!"

The team will travel all the way to Bethel, Maine, USA for the 5th round of the RallyAmerica National Championship series at the New England Forest Rally. This will be yet another new challenge as the Weasel RallySport team has never competed on the fast, rough stages that NEFR is known for. Chris was confident in the team's ability to place well in Maine. "We completed our first event on stages that are not exactly ideal stages to 'practice' on, and we came home on the podium. Now its on to New England Forest where we expect to be even faster!"

Chris, Brian and the Weasel RallySport Team would like to thank EBC Brakes, Maddog STS, O'Reilly Auto Parts, Angry Sheep Motorsports, Silco Fire Protection, Modern Performance and JayRacing.com for their continued support.
