srt-4 racing school
anybody attend any formal racing/performance driving school? i was thinking of trying the skip barber school, they have dodge vehicles from the neon, to the ram, and the viper. i haven't decided what classes to attend yet. i would definately include the basic driving, but cost will determine which of the "racing" classes i'd take next. the srt-4 is more car than i had be used to and i want the driver to equal the car in performance.
I would love to be able to go to Skip Barber, but I cannot due to lack of $$$.[sm=smiley19.gif]They start you out in first gen Neon R/T's and then move you up into the Viper's. They have been quoted in a Mopar magazine as saying that with equally skilled drivers, a Neon R/T is as fast as a Viper on a road course. The R/T kicks butt in the corners and the Viper kicks butt in the straights, and that is why they are road course equals. Both of them have a very sucessful racing past.[sm=smiley2.gif] These are the main reasons that I ever bought a Neon at all and trust me I hated to see it go.[sm=smiley19.gif]
wouldn't it be sweet if they had a srt-4 in there line up? even as a reward/fun car not an instructional car? where i'm at there are no road courses, legal ones anyway[:@]
I'll have to find it in my magazines, but there is a racing school where you use your own car. This way you learn how to drive what you drive better instead of learning how to drive a car that you don't have better.
