Default Viper shift ****

Well it was a pain in the *** to put in, but after finally getting it in, its so much better than stock. Its heavier, and its on there GOOD.
I needed to use a die-grinder to open up the inside of the shift ****, since it was threaded and narrower (MUCH narrower) than stock. Then came time for a cut-off wheel to take the "steps" off the stock shifter itself, so when applying adhesive the ball wouldnt wobble.
Panel bonding adhesive (used on door skins) and 24 hours later, the ball was solid.

It only costs 36 bucks from a dealer, for the money its not bad at all. It comes in Black/Silver Black/Red Black/Yellow Black/Blue. Heres some pix:

If I had done it with the die grinder beforehand...probably only an hour. But after its in place, you cant shift with it for at least 12-24 hours. So I was shifting with the shaft of it for the ride home, and the next morning it was fine. 24 hours later and it was perfect. The ball and shifter would break before that bond would.

Is is plastic or metal? Mine is metal...I personally like the extra leverage.

I love how the shifter looks!

I haven't seen a shaft that sexy since I took a shower this morning.

LMFAO wordslayer!!! Oh ****.....*takes deep breath* I think Im okay now.

LowNSlow....its ceramic I think.....the inside of it was brass, but the outside feels almost ceramic with a gel coating over it. Definitely not plastic though.

That's just like the one I have!

Mine is not ceramic, it's steel. It occasionaly has a gel like coating over it, and the **** is definitely not plastic.

Oh.

While I am thinking about it, I someday hope to get rid of my stock shifter.

I really think I need help.

am tickled.

I usually don't like the ball type, but that one looks cool. It's looks bulky, is it?

Mines metal with leather on top...
