Found some good octane booster!
Posthonda:
What in the HELL do you do for a living?
I don't know if you realize this or not, and you probably don't, because people who are really bright, usually don't realize it, but you sound freaking "lights out smart."
I bet you are bull$hitting us! You really are Carol Shelby, aren't you?????
Freaking Carol Shelby on the damned dodge site! This has been a very good day.

and when you say that bottle adds 6 octane to a 15 gal tank, im guessing that is one of those tinys bottles, that is going to do NOTHING when added to a 15 gal tank,
i had 1/4 tank of 93 octane and added 2 gals of leaded c16 (116 octane) race gas, and it barely raised my octane over 100, that little thing isnt going to raise it 6 points

why not just go and buy a couple gallons of race gas instead of a tine container of octane booster, they sell 109 unleaded here for $6/gallon

I have to go check out the link to Torco PSIchick left us.
In short, I agree with you Jeff, buying the good fuel from a spped shop is the way to go. But PostHonda has S2 and using what he has doesn't kick it out of high octane mode. That alone says something, maby it does work?
Alright, any fuel scientists in the house? My brother is a chemical engineer, but he works on drugs. (legal one's unfortunately).
Jeff - I used to run tanks of vp105, but at 6.50 a gallon it gets tough to commute on a regular, if you know what I mean. 65.00 a tank is rough. The booster does work like a charm, and I run that (either of the two aformentioned) and a tank of sunoco 94. For those with stage 3, water injection and better fuel are a must, but for us lowly s2 guys, additive works great. I had a hard time believing it at first but I can attest to the fact that it works. Hydrotreated aliphatics, MMT, "nitromethane", "powerthane", ... are some effective stabilizers. They really help resist pinging and such.
thanks for the info. the nearest station to me with 100+ oct. is like 40mins away one way.so the booster might be better for me every once in a while anyhow.but i'll get down to that gas station one day soon!
getting actual race gas isn't always an option for everyone, and as such additives are the next best thing. i always used torco on s2, however i've switched to vp c16 with stage 3. i think that once i put in my w/i i'll be able to use torco again and hold hom just fine.
i know that torco is proven to work, people live by it w/ s2 or s3 with toys and even big turbo people w/ 50 trims like mine use it added to a tank of gas
but im saying liek the stuff that you can buy from autozone in those little bottles, i wouldnt trust those to work

your water injection should hold HOM, i'm running the new Devils own kit right now and i dont even need race gas, 50/50 mix of distilled water and yellow heet (99% methanol)...tons of people on srtforums are holding HOM w/ water injcetion b/c the methanol is like 120 octane
they actually tell you NOT to run race gas with water injection b/c the car will just run pig rich
