Okay... final post on this one.
I wasn't "trashing" Gary's car... I really wasn't. [:@] If you re-read (or just read in jaball77's case) you'll see I not only said I'd love to have it, I congratulated him.
I've been pondering this for the past few days and it just seems I've been bad at communicating my thoughts. Maybe a real-world example from my own experience will shed light on what I've been "trying" to say. Caution: this may bore this **** outta you.
A few years back I played in the Idaho Open (a golf tournament). It was one of those that has amateurs and pros. In any case, I beat all of the amateurs (and won the 1st Flight). I got smoked by many of the pros (the Open Division). Same course, same tees, same conditions - same tournament is what I'm trying to say.
As much as I wanted to say I won that tournament, that I was the Idaho Open champ, I couldn't. I mean, I "could" say it was a win but in reality it was a "qualified" win... I won but only on my level. Even the newspaper headline had the pro's name... I was just a footnote.
So, using my example, if you want so say Gary's car is the champ, great. Guess you'll also have to say I was the best golfer in Idaho that year, too.
I thank you.
Hope my point of view makes more sense now. If not, let's call it good, anyway.
Jaball77, everyone else here has been civil but you. Anytime you'd like to get together to compare brain pans, IQ or anything else I'm happy to oblige. I think the first order of business, though, will be to work on your manners...
Oh, and where's my Vista?
